Southeast Asia trip

Sustainable Development in Southeast Asia

Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand -One Earth One Design invite you on a two-week exploration of exotic Indochina's history, culture and emerging sustainable export industry.

Join Sandy & Paul Campbell, owners of One Earth One Design, as we travel through time from the 9th century temples of Angkor to the 21st century metropolises of Hanoi and Saigon. This two-week adventure showcases the natural beauty of forested highlands, fertile rice terraces and mysterious emerald waters during this comprehensive introduction to one of Asia's cradles of civilization.

Our adventure begins in stately Hanoi, perched on the right bank of the Red River. We follow the river to the lush seascape of Halong Bay, where eerie karst rock formations are designated a World Hertiage Site (WHS) by UNESCO. Then we head southward to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), gateway to the floating markets and lively river communities of the Mekong Delta.

Our journey ends with three days in Cambodia. Once the bustling center of Asia's most powerful ancient civilization, the Khmers, Angkor (WHS) is the largest religious temple in the world.

Along the way, we will tour homes and businesses showcasing sustainable design and meet a stream of micor-entrepreneurs and family-based businesses that support the growing global demand for eco-friendly products.

We depart via Bangkok, Thailand, where guest are encouraged to personalize their journey with extensions to Phuket, Ko Samui, Laos or other enchanting Asian destinations.

We are stil working out details on the trip and our goal is to take the trip in the spring of 2010.
