Squak Mountain Stone
Squak Mountain Stone is a fibrous-cement material made up of recycled paper, recycled glass, coal fly-ash, and cement. Post-industrial recycled content is at least 49%. It is hand cast into slabs, and resembles limestone or soapstone.
Squak Mountain Stone is sealed with SuperShield Top Coat, a water-based, stain-resistant sealer. This makes the surface resistant to oil and grease stains, acid etching, water repellent, and UV resistant. It is easy to apply, recoatable, and non-yellowing, providing a material that can be used inside or outside.
All materials in Squak Mountain Stone are purchased from businesses within a 125 mile radius of Seattle, with the final product being handmade in Seattle.
