Description: The clients’ goal was to build a home that was under 3000 sq. ft. for their family of 4, in a neighborhood where homes typically start at 5000 sq ft.

Scope of work: space planning, kitchen, bathrooms, built-ins, finishes, materials and lighting and furniture layout.

Certifications: The home is certified Built Green 4-star

Bathroom Sustainable features:
  • Combination of FSC-certified and reclaimed walnut wood for architectural detailing and flooring in the living room, dining room and kitchen.
  • Cork flooring in the kids bedrooms
  • Wood reclaimed from a barn on a ranch in Idaho which is a place the owner spent a lot of time as a child. This wood was transported to Washington, milled locally, and used in a bonus space above the garage as structural and finish lumber
  • Wheatboard cabinets w/ water-based finishes throughout
  • Squak Mountain Stone countertops in the master bath
  • Ice Stone countertops in the kitchen and kids bath
  • Recycled glass tiles used for backsplashes throughout
  • Deco-Pour shower pan in family shower
  • No-VOC paint throughout.
