How About a "Girlfriends Spa Night"?

I've noticed over the last couple of years that women are renewing their interest and need to gather. That is to leave the men, children, pets and work outside and spend an evening in the company of other great women. This is a wonderful time of year to focus on ourselves and recharge our batteries.
Some of the ideas below are my own and some come from imaginative women who have organized their own "Spa Nights". Enjoy one of these super ideas or come up with one of your own. If you come up with a unique gathering I'd love to hear about it and add it to the list so others may enjoy it as much as you did.

"Tea & Mud Night": The idea here is to learn something about tea and how it can be used in your skin care routine. The hostess provides a couple of different teas along with hand written or typed cards explaining the benefits of each tea and how it can be mixed with any Muddy H2O Mask to help support the health of your skin.

"Chick Flick Night": Grab a bottle of wine, your favorite Muddy H2O Mask, a chick flick and you have a party. Oh, don't forget the girlfriends!

"Bunk-O-Night": This is a new and imaginative twist to an old standard. After attending another Muddy H2O event one of the gals became so excited. Her Bunk-O club of four years had been talking about doing something different to brake the monotony. The following month she showed up with her Chocolate Mask. What a riot! They had so much fun and even took pictures of themselves playing Bunk-O while wearing their Chocolate Masks.

"Mask & Nail Night":Invite a handful of your best girls (or how about your nieces) over for drinks and yummies. Ask each person to bring one bottle of nail polish that they're tired of. While you all mask and enjoy the yummies take turns polishing each others nails. At the end of the evening everyone trades polish and goes home with a new color. -ENJOY-

My Favorite Winter Bath:

Every year as we move into fall a familiar feeling sets in. It’s the feeling of our bodies recognizing the changing of the season. It may be our bodies want to sleep a little more or that we crave warm comfort food. For me, I think even more of hot steamy baths. Safe in my old claw foot tub filled with wonderful aromatic concoctions. Below is one of my favorites that I use to stave off dry winter skin.

2-3 Tbs. Muddy H2O Chocolate Mask
¼ cup honey
¼ cup dry milk
2-5 drops lavender essential oil

Add all ingredients to a warm steamy bath and enjoy for at least 20 minutes.

The Great Chocolate Pumpkin Mask:

When making pumpkin pies for the family this season, make sure to reserve a few teaspoons for yourself. Even though fresh pumpkin contains more nutrients, canned pumpkin has more enzymes available for exfoliating because of the high temperature it's processed at. So if time is at a premium feel free to use canned and don't feel guilty about it!

1 tsp. Muddy H2O Chocolate Mask
1 tsp. Honey
1 tsp. Pumpkin

Combine all ingredients and mix well. With a brush or finger tips, apply to your face and neck area. Rest for 15 minutes. Rinse well with cool (not cold) water and pat dry. Moisturize as needed.

The Gentle Chocolate Mask

When you need a little extra pampering or a soothing moment at the end of a stressful day, try this nourishing and calming formula.

1 tsp. Chocolate Mask
1/2 tsp. Honey
1/2 tsp. Water
1/4 tsp. Grapeseed Oil
1 Drop Chamomile Oil

Mix all ingredients well. Apply to face and neck and relax for 15 minutes. Rinse well with cool water and pat dry. Apply moisturizer as needed. Adjust liquid to mask ratio to create your own desired consistency.
